Each area and market has its regulations. For example, in the U.S., there is CPSIA (U.S. Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008); as for the EU, it’s REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals) test.

Do they have a PU skin cover?
Sometimes, you will see that some foam dodgeballs are foam balls without skin cover, which the prices appeal to you so much. We suggest you think twice before purchasing them.
The reason is that without PU skin, the foam will crack easily and even fall apart. The skin protects the dodgeball from being destroyed by fierce throwing and gripping.

Do they have a parting line?
Parting lines are what customers most easily overlook among those three.
A parting line is a line that appears on a product produced from a mold, which is caused by the raw material leaking out from the border of the mold.
Why it’s important is that those WITHOUT parting lines indicate the PU skin on those dodgeballs formed much more completely, which makes them strong enough to endure the fierce grabbing and throwing.
Some mold-made foam dodgeballs have parting lines near the equator, but it’s hard to discover from the photos with only one angle. Consumers won’t find out until receiving them.
